The truffle plants produced by ArborInnov are submitted to strategic quality control steps.
No stage is neglected in the process; seed and truffle selection, plant and mycorrhizae development, as well as pre-shipping certification are all carefully monitored. ArborInnov can thus guarantee you will receive quality truffle plants mycorrhized with the expected truffle specie.
Truffle plants production quality control
Étape 1 :Inoculum quality control
- Seed and truffle selection.
- Truffle specie identification by spore microscopy analysis
Étape 2 :Truffle plants quality control
Following plant production:
- Frequent visual inspection of inoculated plants, mycorhization assessment, and contaminant occurrence control (years 1 and 2).
- If contaminants are detected, the truffle plants are destroyed.
- Plants are sorted to destroy sickly of imperfect individuals.
Étape 3 :Final truffle plants control
- Final visual inspection
- Micorrhizae microscopy analysis to assess the quantity and quality of mycorrhization, as well as to detect the the occurrence of contaminants.
- If contaminants are detected, the truffle plants are destroyed.
- Plants are sorted to destroy sickly of imperfect individuals.
Étape 4 :External evaluation and labelling
Sample analysis
- Random sampling
- Molecular detection and analysis by MycoDiagnostic to confirm the achievement of proper mycorrhizae standards (right specie, quantity and quality) for each truffle plants batch.
- The plant batches meeting the standards are labeled and ready to ship.
