Our Business
ArborInnov was founded in 2009 by Jérôme Quirion, biologist. This business mainly produces woody plants with added values, such as plants involved in mycorrhizal symbiosis.
More specifically, the business has three main fields of expertise: production and plantation of cedar hedges and other trees and shrubs, truffle culture, and phytoremediation.
Our constant efforts injected in R&D allow us to offer a wide array of great quality products that suit the needs of farmers, industries, and population.
ArborInnov is the leader in truffle culture in Canada, with many plantations already well established in Québec. We offer certified top quality truffle plants. Our latest realization is the development of a truffle plant mycorrhized with a new truffle specie, the Appalachian truffle. This truffle plant straight out of our terroir is now available for sale.
Jérôme Quirion,
Founder of ArborInnov
Jérôme Quirion holds a bachelor degree from University of Sherbrooke, with a specialization in soil microbiology. He has always been an arboriculture enthusiast, and has worked in that field for more than 15 years. He has also many years of laboratory and field research under his belt, having worked with a plethora of researchers and soil microbiology specialists. If that wasn’t interesting enough, he is also co-owner of the family business; located in Saint-Denis-de-Brompton, Les Jardins de Pommes is a very popular agroforestry farm in the Sherbrooke region.
Truffle Cultivation
Jérôme has been fascinated by plant-fungi interactions for quite a while now. This fascination, coupled to his keen sense for innovation, has brought to life truffle cultivation in Québec through ArborInnov, founded in 2009. Since then, Jérôme has travelled to France, Spain, USA, and Chile, to learn the best truffle plants production methods. He has now developed his own state of the art expertise in truffle cultivation, and collaborates with many well-known research institutions.
